Prior to co-founding GoldSmith Financial in 2021, Jake and Mitch were top producing Loan Officers at Rocket Mortgage and Fifth Third Bank for a combined 8 years where they gained a deep understanding of the loan origination process and client communication. Having learned both the retail and bank sides of mortgage lending and their limitations therein, Jake and Mitch understood the vast benefits and opportunity the wholesale broker channel could provide clients. In following with the philosophy of GoldSmith Financial, Jake and Mitch value personal connection, educating clients, and finding ways to gain their clients wealth through their biggest financial asset, their home. Prior to joining the mortgage industry, Jake was Head Coach for the Milton Icehawks in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Jake holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Westfield State University where he was a 3-sport athlete and Mitch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from Olivet College where he competed in collegiate shot put.

Prior to joining GoldSmith Financial, Ryan was a Senior Underwriter at United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM), the largest wholesale mortgage lender in the country, where he analyzed the finances and creditworthiness of borrowers in order to make lending decisions. As a Mortgage Broker, Ryan uses this vital skill to ensure his clients loans get through to closing as quickly and smoothly as possible. Ryan's greatest passion is developing meaningful relationships with his clients and helping them gain wealth using financial strategies related to their mortgage and real estate. Prior to underwriting at UWM, Ryan was the Team Lead at Northern Trust Bank in their Investment Risk & Analytical Services division where he worked on the development and implementation of investment software. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from DePaul University where he was a member of numerous finance/real estate clubs and competed in Men’s ice hockey.
